Friday Departure Update!

Good morning, grant cohort!

And thanks to Susan for setting up this blog for us to use to communicate re our upcoming adventure in China.

Last minute suggestions from Li-Hua: pack lightly (remember we have no place to store luggage on our train trip from Xi'an to Beijing and our luggage will be with us in the sleeping compartment!); weather should be like it is in Chicago now or even a little cooler; leave a copy of our itinerary and your passport with family/friends; don't bring laptop since we will find cybercafes there; arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to our 10:30 flight; for pickups on our return, we arrive at O'Hare's International airport.

The Countdown is On!

Come Friday morning (10/10) eight faculty members are going to be on their way to China a part of a grant for international education. We hope to post blog entries and update you on our travels.

Countdown to China!

A group of JJC Faculty are getting ready to go to China as part of an international activity sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education via a Title VIA Grant. We will be leaving on Friday, October 10th.
